Exercise Science and Special Studies
The two year master's program in exercise science is research oriented, with two tracts; biomechanics and exercise physiology. The first year is primarily course work, along with involvement in lab activities. During the second year, students take a few courses, complete a comprehensive exam and conduct a thesis project.

A special studies graduate program is also available for students who are interested in applied sciences. This program is individually tailored to meet the aspirations of the student in areas such as cardiac rehabilitation, athletic training or sports training. Special studies students are exempt from the comprehensive exam but are still required to complete a thesis.
