Internship in Community Health

 Responsibilities of the St. Cloud State University Coordinator of Community Health Internships

  1. To represent St. Cloud State University in all official arrangements with cooperating agencies in the conduct of the Community Health Internship.

  2. To supervise arrangements for and give final approval through the application process of all student internship assignments. It shall be policy that all Community Health internship experiences shall be completed in agencies approved by St. Cloud State University's Community Health Internship Coordinator.

  3. To monitor work of the student in the cooperating agency by periodic site visitations and by meeting with the agency mentor and Community Health student intern.

  4. To evaluate intern daily activity journals and to discuss the journal with the student and agency mentor.

  5. To evaluate the student's internship in cooperation with the agency mentor of interns. It is the duty of the Community Health Internship Coordinator to assign the final grade of the student in the internship. Grade options are limited to S or U.

  6. To serve as a resource person for both the cooperating agency mentor and the student intern.

  7. To conduct research and to exchange ideas directed toward improvement of the Community Health student internship field experience.
