Honors Club - Come join the fun!Honors Club

All Honor students are invited to participate in Honors Club. Club members welcome new honors students, recruit instructors, and consult with the program director on Honors curriculum, scholarships, program policy, and new student admissions. The club's social activities, educational activities, and service projects enable students to practice leadership and strengthen the Honors learning community. Honors Club at quarries

 

  • Cliff Jumping at the Quarries
  • Thursday, September 4th
  • 5pm
  • St. Cloud Quarry Park
  • Event Information:  Swimming, hiking, frolicking etc…. Bring a swimsuit

 

  • BOWLING in the Underground
  • Monday, September 22
  • 11am-1pm
  • Atwood Memorial Center Underground
  • Event Information:  Bowling and Lunch with your honors friends

 

  • Mixed Blood Theatre's "Minnecanos"
  • Tuesday, September 23rd
  • 11am - 1pm
  • Atwood Theatre, followed by a Honors Discussion in the Mississippi Room
  • Event Information: Spirited illumination of Mexican American history, followed by refreshments and discussion led one of our own 1st year students!

 

  • Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls Movie Night
  • Friday, September 26th
  • 7pm, Movie at 8pm
  • Centennial Hall 2nd floor lounge
  • Event Information: Dinner and a movie

 

  • Honors Family Weekend Coffeehouse
  • Saturday, September 27
  • 1:30 - 3:30
  • Centennial Hall 2nd Floor Lounge
  • Event Information: Relax with family and friends while sipping latte, live entertainment

 

  • Decision 2008 with the cast from MTV's "The Real World"
  • Tuesday, October 7th

  • Ritche Auditorium
  • Event Information: Discuss HOT political issues and learn more about your presidential candidates, then join the Honors Discussion following the event Centennial Hall 1st Floor Lounge, as always food provided

 

  • FALL FRENZY!
  • Friday, October 10
  • 4-6pm
  • Location: Riverside Park, Meet in the 2nd floor lounge of CH to walk over as a group
  • Event Information:  Grilling, Bocce, lawn golf and other activities)

 

  • Honors Club Meeting

  • Location: Sherburne Hall Lobby

 

  • Get Pumped and Deck yourself Out!
  • Saturday, October 19
  • 1pm
  • Location: TBA
  • Event Information: Paint our faces, dress up in Husky apparel, ribbons, necklaces, the works, and maybe eat some pizza and/or snacks before going to the Men's Football Game!

 

  • Homecoming Festivities!

  • Various Activities throughout the week
  • Event Information: Vote for our Honors Candidates!, earn points and celebrate your Husky Pride!

 

  • Molitor's Haunted Hayride  (This event requires a small financial commitment to cover admission to the park)

  • Electrifying Election Chillzee
  • Tuesday November 4th
  • 7pm – till a winner is announced…..

Excellence in Leadership

Out of proportion to their number on campus, six (25%)of twenty-five students who received the Excellence in Leadership Award this year were Honors students. In proportion, at most one Honor student should have received this award.
