Honors conference at St. Cloud State in 2006!

The big news is that the regional conference will be at St. Cloud State in the spring of 2006! Yep. True. I volunteered us because I figured I had better take responsibility for organizing it if we do it at all, which SCSU has never done. Once in the 1980s we hosted an informal gathering of honors directors in Minnesota, but we have never hosted the UMHC. (Other schools, like Iowa State and Drake, have hosted it more than once over the years.) And after 2006 I'll be retired. More thoughts below on this.

It's been our turn for some time now. And it will be exciting to help plan it. Freshmen reading this will be seniors that year, and there'll be lots of room to help shape the conference and put it together. I think it will be a point of pride for us, and really spark our own program

And at the lunch business meeting of the UMHC, they accepted our offer. My offer. So. We're on. Which means I'll automatically end up as a regional vice president for one year. (Woo hoo.)
