  • Welcome
    • The meeting was called to order at 1:10 pm. J.C. brought treats (monster homemade cookies) and our day was energized.
  • Standing reminder for question analysis:

  • Progress update and NCA calendar
  • The discussion was informal and we are pleased with the work so far
  • It will be easier for our group to tie the loose ends next semester
  • Balsy has posted the self-study reports from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and Eastern Illinois University on the web site. Balsy encouraged the committee to glance through the self-study report from Miami University. It will help us as we answer questions pertinent to SCSU.
  • Try to finish tackling all questions during the break
  • Balsy will remind members in the committee to finish answering the questions
  • We agreed that we will all contribute in finishing up the work
  • Steve offered to help as needed and the committee is grateful
  • SCSU is doing wonderful activities related to teaching effectiveness and we will mention teaching resources that are available on campus
  • Writing narratives
  • The committee was pleased with the progress so far
  • We will have it ready for the public by the beginning of the next semester
  • Finish the narratives based on what we know so far.
  • Closing comments and planning for Spring 2006
  • The next meeting will be in Spring 2006. Overall, we are pleased with our work so far. The meeting adjourned at 1:50 pm.
