Received the President’s Student Leadership Award, which is given to an individual student or student organization that models a deep commitment to civic responsibility and leadership, evidenced by initiative, innovative and collaborative approaches to addressing public issues, effective community building, and integration of civic engagement into the college experience. Alfredo has been highly engaged in campus and community for years. He is a Graduate Assistant in Residential Life for Resident Academic Success and served on the MnSCU Board of Trustees from 2010-2014. He is also a YEP Country Officer for Chile via the Rotary International – where he recruits potential host families for foreign students coming to Minnesota.

Professional Experience: I spent two years working as a graduate assistant for St. Cloud State University Campus Recreation from 2007-2009. I then worked for two years at the University of Minnesota mainly with event and facility management with the Athletics Department. I had the opportunity to come back to St. Cloud State University in a variety of roles and to further my education.

My experience in higher education also includes working for St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC) as a Marketing and Alumni Relations Director. In addition, I worked for SCTCC as a Scholarship and Database Coordinator.
