In April 2012 two administrators and five doctoral students from the University of Macerata (UNIMC) in Macerata, Italy spent two weeks at St. Cloud State University on an education abroad trip. During the trip the doctoral students interned in a variety of campus offices, attended workshops and conferences, and participated in lectures. The administrators, Dean Barbara Pojaghi and Vice President Paola Nicolini worked with fellow SCSU administrators, gave a lecture, and supervised their students. This was the first trip to SCSU for UNIMC. The HIED program sends graduate and doctoral students to UNIMC each May for education abroad.
