New at Student Health Services
With our recent change to electronic health records, we are now able to provide text message appointment reminders.
Effective July 2, 2012 students can choose to have a message texted to their cell phone to remind them of an upcoming appointment. Text message appointment reminders are given two hours before the scheduled appointment time. The message will remind them of the time of the upcoming appointment at Health Services and remind them to arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointed time. The message will also ask if they cannot keep your appointment or wish to reschedule, to call Health Services appointment desk at 320-308-3193. Students must opt-in for this service, which can be done by calling Health Services appointment desk or visiting myhealthservices.stcloudstate.edu. Students will need to provide their cell phone number as well as their cell phone carrier. Most major carriers are available to provide this service.
Also effective July 2, 2012, Health Services will be charging a missed appointment fee to patients who miss more than two appointments. The fee will be $15.00. To avoid this missed appointment fee, students should please call when unable to keep their appointment. Health insurance companies do not pay this charge.
