Services
The clinic provides general medical care including preventative care, and diagnosis
and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Appointments can
be made with either physicians, a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant.
Diagnosis and treatment of illness and
injury
Diagnostic laboratory tests
Pelvic exams, Pap smears, contraceptives,
pregnancy testing, IUD placement, and Implanon insertion/removal
Physical exams for employment, athletics, etc.
Testing for sexually transmitted diseases
Minor surgical procedures such as mole removal, laceration repair, etc.
Our charges for office visits, lab work, prescriptions and
special procedures are very reasonable and usually less than
community clinics. The cost of an office visit for a currently enrolled student is $35.00. If you have a physical, lab work, special procedure, prescription, or anything beyond a basic office visit, there will be an extra charge, depending on what is done.
Records are maintained on each student/patient. All information
is confidential and can be released with written permission
only. Records are retained for ten years from the last
date of care and are then destroyed.
If consultation with a medical specialist is needed, patients
will be referred to a specialist either in St. Cloud or in
your hometown area, depending on your medical needs and/or health insurance.
Who can use the services?
Currently enrolled students can use all services. Having
medical insurance is not a prerequisite to using the on-campus
Health Services. Health Services is available to any student
regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion,
or ethnicity.
