Gretchen serves as Director and Lead Academic Advisor in the HBS Advising and Student Success Center. She specializes in Education Abroad, International Partnerships, Business Honors Program and Transfer Pathways. Gretchen earned a Master’s of Science in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science from St. Cloud State University. Gretchen has worked at SCSU since 1999 as Assistant Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of University Honors Program, MBA Director and now in the HBS Advising and Student Success Center. She has a passion for travel and loves helping students fulfill their dream of studying abroad. In her free time, Gretchen enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time exploring the world with her family.

Leah Klimek works as the Assistant Director in the HBS Advising and Student Success Center. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the College of Saint Benedict and went on to complete her Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development here at SCSU in 2007. She has been in the Minnstate system for almost 16 years in various roles such as TRIO, Records, and Advising. Leah’s favorite part about working with students is in those little “lightbulb” moments when they realize how and why they are doing what they are doing and those moments when students come back and see how everything worked out full-circle. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family/friends and volunteering at her church. She also enjoys playing a good game of sand volleyball, going for walks, or partaking in fitness classes.

Niki graduated from SCSU in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Travel and Tourism. She has been on campus for over 20 years and has worked in Financial Aid, the College of Education and Learning Design, MBA office, and has been with the HBS Advising and Student Success Center since May 2014. She loves serving students, faculty and staff. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and animals!

Annie serves as an academic advisor in the Business Advising Center. She earned her Master degree in Higher Education Administration at St. Cloud State University and her Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Annie has worked in the HBS Advising and Student Success Center since 2016 and her favorite part of advising is meeting new students each year and learning about their goals and interests. In her free time, Annie enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her dog, Ernie.
