Graduate Student Research Funds

The School of Graduate Studies has a limited amount of funding available to graduate students to assist with expenses directly related to a student’s culminating project. Up to $500 may be requested for expenses associated with conducting research or for dissemination of the research at regional, national, or international meetings. Eligible expenses include equipment, postage, data analysis costs, supplies, and costs related to presentation travel. The funding eligibility criteria is outlined on the application available at http://www.stcloudstate.edu/graduatestudies/forms/current.asp.

Student Research Funds and Colloquium

Student research funds support academic research and creative activity by SCSU undergraduate and graduate students under the direction of a SCSU faculty member. Funds are awarded up to $1,500 per project with the average award being $750. Approximately 20-40 awards will be available each year. Supported activities include: materials and supplies, travel to conduct research or to present at a conference, or any other reasonable need directly associated with research/creative projects. All students accepting an award agree to present their project at the Student Research Colloquium on April 22, 2008. Student research funds information and application material can be found at http://www.stcloudstate.edu/src/researchfund.asp. Application deadlines are October 1, 2007 and February 1, 2008.
