First Things First - The Basics

Student ID Card (Campus Card)

Student ID cards can be obtained from the Campus Card Office in Atwood Memorial Center. Each student is required to have an ID card in order to obtain necessary services on campus. Your SCSU identification card is required to check out materials in the library, make copies, or print to a printer in a computer lab.

Your SCSU identification card also serves as a cashless way to buy products on and off campus. The Campus Card allows you to deposit money onto the card, which may then be used to purchase items on and off campus at places such as the Husky Bookstore, Atwood Food Service, and copy machines across campus. This feature is known as Campus Cash.

NOTE: Copy machines on campus accept only Campus Cash. No coin operated copy machines are available. You will want to put some money into your Campus Cash account in the event that you will need to make copies.

Deposits to your Campus Cash account on your ID card can be made in the following ways:

  • In person at the Campus Card Office in Atwood Memorial Center.
  • Online at www.scsucampuscard.com. A credit card is required.
  • Through one of four Value Transfer Stations on campus:
    • Atwood Memorial Center
    • Miller Learning Resource Center
    • Garvey Commons
    • Halenbeck Hall

Each semester, graduate students are given $8.00 on their Campus Card to use toward printing. This printing fund is only applicable when printing to a printer in a computer lab and is separate from any monies you put into your Campus Cash account. Each page printed costs $.04.
