The research assistant (RA) will assist faculty members in the School of Public Affairs in data collection, survey, and other social research. May perform publication activities, quality control, or data management. Will be responsible for building and maintaining database of experts in School of Public Affairs
Knowledge, experience, and ability requirements for Research Assistant: • Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. • Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. • Quantitative and computational – Understanding the structure of data, and the ability to manipulate for presentations. Providing data to end-users online
Open to graduate students in SOPA-affiliated graduate programs: Applied Economics, Criminal Justice, Geography, and Public Safety Executive Leadership.
