In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.
**Work with Administrative Assistant and Director in carrying out the comprehensive support program for students with disabilities, which emphasizes support services, advocacy and disability awareness. **Coordinate and implement effective note taker recruitment, training and supervision. Report data for evaluations of note takers and by note takers. **Work with Administrative Assistant to carry out the overall management of Student Disability Services, including staffing, coordination of programming and support services. **Work one on one with students on time management skills, course planning, study skills and general academic services.
Acceptance to a graduate program with background specifically related to the workings of the Student Disability Service office. Computer background and applicable skills in using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, powerpoint etc. Knowledge of working with D2L. Experience in working with people with disabilities preferred.
