International Studies Graduate Assistantship in International Studies

In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.
Involvement with day to day operations including correspondence via e-mail, phone, and mail with international students, partners and scholars Assist with event planning for international visits involving university administrators and faculty Assist with event planning for on campus visits by international partners, scholars and government dignitaries Assist with marketing of international events and programs Assist with Education Abroad as needed Assist with International Students and Scholars as needed Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel). Other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President
Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail Proven ability to work with people from diverse cultures Programming experience One year or more experience working in a customer service environment Preference will be given to applicants who will be attending St Cloud State University for at least one year or more, and are fluent in a language other than English. Must be admitted to a graduate program at SCSU and eligible for an assistantship. Preference will be given to applicants, who will be attending SCSU for a minimum of one year, are fluent in a language in addition to English.
