In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.
Provide onsite observations of teacher candidates in school settings and give written and verbal feedback after their lessons. Facilitate communication with cooperating teachers and candidates for orientation and evaluation purposes. Support and maintain excellent communication with teacher candidates. Attend weekly professional development sessions to enhance supervision skills. Facilitate weekly mentor meetings with candidates while they are in the schools. Read the candidatesí journals weekly and provide feedback. Notify the university supervisors if there are significant writing issues, lack of reflection, etc. in the journal entries. Read the candidatesí field experience summary paper. Reporting candidatesí performance to the university supervisors on a weekly basis. Complete a Final Field Placement Evaluation form for each candidate. Cover a number of office hours on some Fridays. Submit reports to the instructors on record for grade entry.
