In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.
Two positions available. Graduate Assistant in Sociology will 1) co-ordinate the publishing of the annual Social Responsibility newsletter; 2) help organize academic conferences; 3) assist faculty members in research as required; 4) assist faculty members in teaching as required; 5) assist in organizing events in the department as required; 6) assist in the working of SOC club as required.
A bachelorís degree from an accredited institution; Full admission to a graduate degree program at St. Cloud State University is required
Demonstrated ability to work with persons from diverse backgrounds; Demonstrated organizational ability and attention to detail; Strong written communication skills including clarity of ideas, proper grammar, and editing; Competence in using Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook; Strong oral communication skills including ability to express of ideas, clarify information, and engage others; Able to or willing to learn D2L; Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
