In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.
This position is a professional teacher position with most of the hours of responsibility in the preschool classroom. Expected work hours are Monday – Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. -Implementation of curriculum to include small-group facilitation, and programming -Monitoring of individual behavior plans -Some staff supervision and evaluation -Responsible for large group supervision and child guidance -Consistent daily parent communication -Attendance at all staff trainings
Required: -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university -Admission to an SCSU graduate program -6 semester credits of acceptable educational early care and education coursework Preferred: -Admission to Child and Family Studies graduate program -Experience working in an early care and education setting -Demonstrated ability to work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
