Graduate Assistantship

Position Available:

Film Studies Graduate Teaching Assistant in School of the Arts/Theatre and Film Studies

August 26, 2013 to May 9, 2014

Hours:

10

Salary:$5,000 per academic year
In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.

Responsibilities:

- Take notes in class (must be available to attend class meetings of Film Studies 175 (MWF 10 am to 10:50 am) - Hold four hours of office hours per week - Grade weekly in-class assignments and two 5-page essays during semester.

Qualifications:

- Candidate must be admitted to School of Graduate Studies, be in good academic standing, and enrolled for at least six hours of graduate course credit. - Bachelorís degree, preferably in Mass Communication, Film Studies, Media Studies, English, or related field. - Working knowledge of Film Studies. - Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal).
