In addition to the salary/stipend, both full-time and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for partial tuition remission based on appointment type.
•Provide support to the Scholarships for Academically Talented but Economically Disadvantaged Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Systems Grant. •Assist with various communication and promotional tasks such as designing posters, flyers, SCSU closed circuit TVs and related advertising. •Assist with website design for promotion of grant scholarships and general grant information. •Organize award and graduate ceremonies. •Consistent contact with scholarship students to answer questions on the program, provide mentorship and lead learning community gatherings. •Respond to email, telephone, and mail inquiries promptly. •Provide coordinating assistance, record keeping and note taking support for the Grant.
•Applicant must be fully admitted to a graduate degree program. •Excellent English and grammar skills. •Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills are necessary. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). •Detail-orientated with ability to multi-task and prioritize projects. •Applicant must be responsible, motivated and able to work independently.
