Graduate Assistantships

Are you looking for a way to fund your education, connect with faculty and students, and immerse yourself in projects relevant to your degree? Consider becoming a graduate assistant. A graduate assistantship serves as on-campus employment for full-time graduate students. An assistantship provides an excellent opportunity to connect with professionals in your field and enhance your intellectual and professional development as a whole.

Beyond being a valuable life experience, an assistanship is a fantastic way to finance your education! Your stipend (salary) as a GA for the 2007-2008 academic year is $10,000 for 20 hours work per week during the academic year. In addition, both full-and part-time graduate assistants are eligible for paid tuition. The University will pay for up to eight credits of graduate tuition cost per semester (fall and spring), not including student fees. All graduate assistants, both international and U.S. citizens, qualify for in-state tuition rates. Click on the links below to learn more about this wonderful opportunity!
