If you submitted all required documents prior to the deadline and your grades were submitted, you can anticipate your degree to be posted about 3 weeks after the deadline for culminating project submission. If you have questions on your degree completion status, please call (320) 308-2113.

Electronic Submission of Culminating Projects (ETD)
Beginning Fall 2015 electronic submission of written culminating projects (dissertations, theses, creative works, and starred papers) to The Repository (SCSU’s Institutional Repository) will be the primary submission method.
Once submitted, approved, and published, culminating projects will be available to download from the IR and will be indexed on Google Scholar within 10 days of publication.
Students wishing to delay the publication of the culminating project in The Repository due to a pending publication in another source or patent pending may request an annual embargo. Note that the majority of journal publishers accept articles derived from theses or dissertations even when the thesis or dissertation is available in an open access repository.

Paper Submission of Culminating Projects
Electronic submission of written culminating projects is the primary submission method. However, the School of Graduate Studies will consider exceptions (paper submissions of culminating projects) due to extenuating circumstances. Please see Request for Exception-Submit by Paper (below).
Please note that Graduate Studies will no longer offer binding of culminating projects.
If a student is granted an exception, he/she must submit, at minimum, one (1) hard bound (buckrum bound) copy according to University specifications and one (1) plain-paper copy along with a $10 microfilm fee to the School of Graduate Studies. Departments/programs may require additional bound copies. Students should check with the department to verify the number of required bound copies.
