Educational Administration and Leadership (Post-Master Graduate Certificate or Specialist)

The Educational Administration and Leadership graduate program offers a post-master's graduate certificate that can lead to three administrative licensures — K-12 school principal, special education director or superintendent of schools. No matter which licensure you are pursuing, you will receive training in a core of pre-professional leadership courses and academic experiences appropriate to your program. All three programs include coursework leading to eligibility for an administrative licensure. Coursework is competency-based to meet Minnesota state requirements in licensure.

Program Highlights

All three certificate programs are available either on campus or at St. Cloud State at Plymouth.

  • Students may pursue multiple licenses at one time.
  • Courses at the Twin Cities Graduate Center are offered Friday evenings and Saturdays during the academic year and for four days in the summer.
  • Courses on the St. Cloud campus are held at various times throughout the weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Numerous summer courses are available to accommodate educators.

Gainful Employment

Certain undergraduate and graduate certificates at St. Cloud State University prepare students for employment in specific fields and do not result in a degree. Federal law requires publication of data associated with those programs of study, including approximate program costs, program length, and employment statistics. The Minnesota State Colleges and University's (Minnesota State) Chancellor's office has provided this report containing the aforementioned information for all required programs.
