Tuesday’s
Queer Film Series
GLBT Services will be hosting
several films throughout the semester. Join us for our Tuesday’s Queer Film
Series; more information about the film will be available as dates approach.

History and Awareness Month
GLBT Services, in collaboration
with several departments and student organizations, have many events, speakers,
and panels planned for October’s GLBT History and Awareness Month. More
information will be available next week!
Canoe
Shuttle
For GLBT History Month, we’ll
be taking a canoe shuttle trip on Saturday morning, Oct. 28th! It
will be super-duper-fun, so if you’re interested (and a lot of people are),
please contact the center!

Take
Back the Night
Join in the movement to end
violence and sexual assault against women, children, and families for the
Domestic Violence Awareness Month of October. The rally and march
are at 5 p.m. on Fri, Sept. 29th at
Reconciling in Christ Leadership Training
University Lutheran Church will be hosting a Reconciling in Christ
Leadership Training, a 3-day hands-on workshop to give participants skills and
a knowledge base to expand teams of openly welcoming people of all sexual
orientations and gender identities within area congregations. All are invited
to register for this Nov. 30-Dec.2 workshop!! For more information and

Solidarity
Sunday Celebration
Dignity Twin Cities invites you to join them in celebrating
Solidarity Sunday on October 8, 2006 (the Sunday before National Coming Out Day), at the noon Mass at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The
themes of Solidarity Sunday are building solidarity with friends who are not
part of the GLBT community, and working to end violence, including spiritual

Voices United
On
Oct. 12-14th, join Voices United, the Twin Cities faith-based group,
at a conference and worship event to educate and initiate conversation and
action to include GLBT persons of all faith communities by providing
theological, worship and political resources, and empowering youth with a

Men Can Make a Difference Conference
October 13-14th at Cragun’s
resort, this conference is for men who desire a world in which they, their
children, partners, parents and friends can live free from the threat of sexual
harm and abuse. The conference will offer opportunities to hear from expert
trainers, gain new information and strategies for preventing sexual violence,
and join with other men to take action. Speakers include Jackson Katz and Tony
