Residence Hall Association’s No Hate Campaign presents: Tonight!
TJ Leyden, who after 15 years as a neo-Nazi white supremacist activist and recruiter experienced a profound change of heart, turned away from hate, and began teaching tolerance. Tuesday, Nov. 28th at 7 pm in the Ritsche Auditorium. Free with a Q&A after presentation.

Gay and Bisexual Men’s Group (GAB)
5:30 dinner will be at Bonanza followed by 7 pm bowling at Vilo Lanes. Holiday Dance will be held on Sat, Dec. 2 at 9 pm (social hour) and 10pm-2am at Red Carpet.

A History of Pride: the Origins of the LGBT Pride Flag Tomorrow Night
Dr. Tracy Ore will be giving a presentation discussing the history of the Rainbow flag in LGBT culture, the role it plays in the community, and what is signifies on Nov. 29 from 5-6 pm in Lady’s Slipper room. This is an excellent opportunity for campus members questioning the flag’s presence on campus to become informed!

OPAA AIDS Awareness Week
Nov. 27-Dec. 1 is AIDS Awareness Week, sponsored by Organization for the Prevention of AIDS in Africa. OPAA will have informational tables from 10 am-2 pm each day this week.

Nov. 29: Hunger Strike—OPAA members will refrain from eating for 24 hours to raise

Reconciling in Christ Leadership Training
University Lutheran Church will be hosting a Reconciling in Christ Leadership Training, a 3-day hands-on workshop to give participants skills and a knowledge base to expand teams of openly welcoming people of all sexual orientations and gender identities within area congregations. Pan African Night
African Students Association is hosting special guest Nimely Pan African Dance Company to celebrate Africa: Land of Originality. Sat, Dec. 2nd at 5 pm in Atwood Ballroom. Student cost is only $2.

Volunteer!

GLBT Services always invites students, faculty, and staff to volunteer and contribute in presenting, planning events, and more.  Let us know if you are interested in being part of our safe space office.  We are currently looking for volunteers who are willing to be in the center for any amount of time throughout the week to welcome any students, faculty, or staff who may come in.

Human Rights Center Gift Drive
Please drop off new, unwrapped toys for children between the ages of 4-14. Drop off boxes located in Residence Halls and in Atwood! Nov. 27th- Dec. 11th. Sponsored by Volunteer Connection and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

Cultural Diversity Committee is inviting representatives from each cultural organization at SCSU to join the Cultural Diversity Committee meetings on Mondays at 5:30 at the Born of Hunger Center. For more info, contact sga-cd@stcloudstate.edu

OutFront Minnesota invites members and friends of the GLBT community to take part in an anonymous online survey of attitudes and issues related to the legal recognition - or lack thereof - of same-sex couples.  The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete and asks your perspectives. Participate in research seeking to uncover college experiences that influence development for Black gay, bisexuals, same gender loving men.

Rainbow Sash Research
A graduate student at the College of St. Catherine is looking for participants for thesis research who are baptized Catholics age 19 and older who have been denied communion while wearing the Rainbow Sash. Outloud!

Outloud! is an activist-oriented group responsible for planning Out Proud Week and other attention-grabbing events. It is a student organization whose theme is to build bridges and coalitions. The program uses a community-building model with social programming to bring gay and bisexual men together to prevent HIV. Transportation Service available to SCSU students, faculty, and staff. An electronic board is designed to connect drivers who can provide transportation to those in need of transportation. GLBT Services has a growing media library that consists of fiction and reference books & video resources and is available to students, faculty and staff.  We offer literature and videos on a range of topics: coming out, gay marriage, the gay/lesbian movement, trans concerns, bisexuality, etc.  Stop by to check out or look through any resources that interest you.

Center for Therapeutic Choices

Counseling services are available at the Center for Therapeutic Choices in downtown St. Cloud.
