Sigma Phi Omega

Sigma Phi Omega, the National Honor and Professional Society for Gerontology, was formed in 1980 to recognize the excellence of those who study gerontology and aging. The local Beta Zeta Chapter (St. Cloud State University) of SPO was established in 1993. Beta Zeta has members consisting of students, faculty, and professionals. Membership is open to both undergraduate and graduate students whose GPA meets the national standards, as well as practitioners in the field of aging.
