The Gerontology Program
The St. Cloud State University Gerontology Program, housed in the Department of Community Studies, is an interdisciplinary course of study providing students with an integrated perspective on aging and older adults. The program combines classroom instruction, service-learning, internships and other experiential activities in order to integrate current theory and practice in the field of aging. An undergraduate minor, a Master of Science degree, and a graduate certificate are offered.
What Is Gerontology?
Gerontology is the science that studies the process of aging in various dimensions: social, cultural, psychological, biological, demographic, political, legal, economic, educational, business and programmatic.
