Geography at SCSU and University of Concepción
On January 11, 2008 Department Chair David Wall signed a letter of agreement with Dra. Edilia Jaque Castillo, the Chair of the Department of Geography at the University of Concepción to pursue faculty exchanges and joint research projects in the areas of Tourism, Cultural Geography and GIS. The Department of Geography at SCSU hopes to send one lucky professor to Concepción, in January 2009. Dr. Wall reports that in January the weather in Concepción was most disagreeable for cross country skiing. Daily high temperatures were in the mid to high 70s. There is also an abundance of fresh seafood available in Concepción.
