2012-2013 Peer Mentors
“Come join in the fun of being an undergraduate mentor and make a difference in your campus community!”
The Peer Mentors program is an integral part of your first-year experience at St. Cloud State University. Peer Mentors are typically junior and senior undergraduate students who are selected and trained to serve first-year students.
As they serve as undergraduate Peer Mentors they provide a vital network of support for incoming students by interacting regularly with first-year students, referring them to campus resources. While many Peer Mentors live on campus, they assist both resident and commuter students in their transition to the University throughout the first-year.
In addition to their ongoing work with first-year students, Peer Mentors are required to participate in a weekly staff development program during the fall semester. Early in the spring semester, students interested in becoming a Peer Mentor should contact:
- Christine R. Metzo, Director of Academic Initiatives, crmetzo@stcloudstate.edu
- Gayle Ruesch Clark, Administrative Assistant, grclark@stcloudstate.edu
