The St. Cloud State Foundation is nearing its $2.2 million fundraising goal for the renovation, which was completed spring 2008. If $360,000 is raised this spring, an anonymous donor has agreed to contribute $250,000. The State of Minnesota is funding the balance of the $15.2 million project cost.

The Griebel Challenge Grant has been a key part of the Foundation’s fundraising effort. Deeann J. Griebel '76 challenged students and alumni to match her $100,000 pledge by March 31, 2008. Donors responded, surpassing the $100,000 mark in early February.

Alumni at the accounting firm LarsonAllen have pledged $100,000 to the project. "St. Cloud State is a very important university to this firm," said Bill LeClaire ’84, a partner and certified public accountant (CPA). "We want to be able to give back to the program so it can continue its excellence."

In addition to the Herberger Business School, Centennial Hall houses academic student services such as the Advising Center, Career Services, Student Disability Services, Honors Program and the Multi-Cultural Academic Center. An expanded Husky Bookstore occupies nearly half the first floor. The Philosophy Department is on third floor.
