Official Contest Rules
2016 SCSU Family Stay Giveaway
at Coborn Plaza Apartments for Celebrate Weekend

The 2016 SCSU Family Stay Giveaway for Celebrate Weekend will be run on the http://stcloudstate.edu/forlife/cpa-families.

1. Dates/Terms/Eligibility. St. Cloud State University may change the dates and/or terms of the Family Stay Giveaway Prize. Drawing 2016 without prior notice. Any material changes will be posted on the Residential Life Facebook page and the registration site. The 2016 SCSU Family Stay Giveaway is open to legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age and older, unless otherwise noted. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win.

Employees or agents of St. Cloud State University or any entity associated with the contest, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate in the Contest. One entry per household when they register on the website prior to 10:00 pm on September 6, 2016.

2. Prizes. Two winners will be drawn and notified on September 7, 2016. The winner will have 24 hours to accept the prize and sign required affidavits (see #3) or reject the prize. In the case that the first selected winner rejects the prize, St. Cloud State University will draw another name. The value of this prize is $271.00 (USD) in the form of a stay at Coborn Plaza Apartments. All sales, prize and other taxes, gratuities and any other incidentals associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. This prize is not redeemable for cash nor is it transferable or exchangeable by the winner and may not be substituted.

3. Conditions/Restrictions. Winners will be required to produce identification satisfactory to St. Cloud State University to prove the winner is the person whose name was drawn on September 7, 2016. The winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility to receive the prize, and a release, including a publicity release as prepared by St. Cloud State University prior to receiving this prize. The winner will be responsible for any taxes or fees that result from the receipt and/or use of their prize and may receive an IRS Form 1099-Misc.

The Contest is void where prohibited by law. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the Contest will be disqualified. St. Cloud State University is not responsible for technical errors, problems or delays with the website, mail or telephone systems that may prevent participants or entries from registering for the contest. Individuals can go to http://stcloudstate.edu/forlife/cpa-families to register online from August 18, 2016 through 10:00pm September 6, 2016.

Decisions of St. Cloud State University are final. All contest entries will become the property of St. Cloud State University upon receipt by St. Cloud State University. Winners and contest participants grant St. Cloud State University the right to use their name and likeness (including voice, hometown, field of study, and anticipated graduation date) for promotional purposes with no compensation.

4. Release and Indemnification. In exchange for the right to participate in Family Stay Giveaway, each participant agrees to forever release and indemnify St. Cloud State University and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries and employees (the "Released Parties"), from any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the participant's participation in the Contest.

5. Rules & Qualifications. One entry per household as follows: One entry per household when they register on the website prior to 10:00pm on September 6, 2016. Any violation of these general rules, specific material terms or internet rules, below, will result in disqualification. Copies of these rules and terms are available for download here, in person at Residential Life at St. Cloud State University during regular office hours or by sending a request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to: Department of Residential Life, Ervin House, 720 Fourth Ave. South, St. Cloud, MN 56301

6. Authorization and Release Information. I understand my submission as outlined above may be used in connection with publicizing and promoting St. Cloud State University. I authorize St. Cloud State University to use my first and last name as defined on this form.

I hereby irrevocably authorize St. Cloud State University to copy, exhibit, publish or distribute the pledge submission for purposes of publicizing St. Cloud State University’s Residential Life programs or for any other lawful purpose. It may be used in printed publications, social media, multimedia presentations, on websites or in any other distribution media. I agree that I will make no monetary or other claim against St. Cloud State University for the use of the statement. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy, wherein my name, likeness appears.
