This is the perfect time to meet people and get to know campus.

We know how important the first days and weeks of the semester are to students and their success. Mark your calendars to get a great start by participating in New Student Orientation August 20 - 23, 2015!

We encourage all new students to continue their participation in Huskies First Four: Weeks (Huskies Kick-Off) events to meet other students, learn more about St. Cloud State and find your way to connect with the Huskies community.

Thursday, Aug. 20 (Residential Move-In)

Move-in New entering first-year and new entering transfer students. Specific times will be mailed to students prior to move-in.

All new students should attend to learn about the Orientation schedule, get introduced to life at St. Cloud State and learn campus traditions. Join us for fun and free prizes!
5-7 p.m. Welcome Picnic (students only), Atwood Mall (outdoors)

All students are welcome to join us for the Welcome Picnic. Students will receive tickets at check-in to indicate their reservation time. Students living on campus will eat with their residence halls; students living off-campus will be scheduled as well.

All residential students walk to Opening Ceremony with their Community Advisor (CA). Commuter students meet at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

FREE food, FREE activities and lots of opportunities to meet new people. DJ/dance, House Party 101 (sponsored by UChoose) and Game Night (sponsored by University Honors Program)!

Friday, Aug. 21 (Residential Move-In)

This program is designed specifically for our commuter, transfer, veteran, student-parent and adult student learners, and includes our SCSU 101 presentation, networking opportunities and the Community through Diversity workshop.

You don’t need a car in St. Cloud. Come learn how to ride the Metro Bus – available FREE for enrolled SCSU students! Information sessions offered at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. on the hour.

Got a question about D2L Brightspace or your Star ID/password? Want help getting your email loaded onto your smart phone, or help connecting to the wireless? Stop in for assistance.
1–5 p.m. Lake George activities, Lake George

Relax before the first day of classes with an afternoon at Lake George. Just a quick walk from campus, you’ll have FREE access to paddleboards, stand-up paddleboats and canoes. Or bring your bike, long board, rollerblades or jog around the lake.
