Types of Financial Aid

Scholarships

Transfer students:

The Office of Admissions awards a limited number of scholarships to newly admitted, incoming transfer students with strong academic credentials. To be considered for Transfer Scholarships, transfer students must meet all of the following minimum requirements:

Be admitted to St. Cloud State University
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above (if you are transferring from more than one institution, a combined cumulative GPA will be generated)
Have at least 40 transferrable credits prior to enrollment

All SCSU transfer students that meet the above criteria and that are admitted by the following deadlines are automatically considered for academic scholarships; there is no additional application to complete.

Fall Semester Enrollment: Deadline March 15
Spring Semester Enrollment: Deadline October 15

Additional paperwork is required for transfer students who want to apply for specific Phi Theta Kappa, Alumni and Endowed Scholarships. For additional information on these awards go to www.stcloudstate.edu/scsu4u/financing/transfer.asp
