TEACH Grant Eligible Majors
The federal TEACH Grant program allows colleges and universities to determine which majors at their individual schools are TEACH Grant eligible majors in the federal high-need fields. High-need fields are:
- Bilingual Education and English Language Acquisition
- Foreign Language Education
- Mathematics
- Reading Specialist
- Science and Technology
- Special Education Teaching
Approved TEACH Grant-eligible majors at St. Cloud State University include:
- English as a Second Language (Master of Arts) NOTE: Students can add bilingual at the post-baccalaureate
level, but must be enrolled simultaneously in an M.A. program.
- French Education (baccalaureate level)
- Spanish Education (baccalaureate level)
- German Education (baccalaureate level)
- Mathematics Education (baccalaureate level)
- Reading Teacher K‐12 (graduate certificate)
- Biology Education (baccalaureate)
- Chemistry Education (baccalaureate level)
- Earth and Space Science Education (baccalaureate level)
- Physics education (baccalaureate level)
- Environmental & Technological Studies Education (graduate level)
- Developmental Disabilities (baccalaureate level; students at the post‐baccalaureate level must
also be enrolled in the SPED M.S. program)
- Learning Disabilities (baccalaureate level; students at the post‐baccalaureate level must also be
enrolled in the SPED M.S. program)
- Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (baccalaureate level; students at the post‐baccalaureate
level must also be enrolled in the SPED M.S. program)
- Physical and Health Disabilities (baccalaureate level can be enrolled in a certificate program;
students at the post‐baccalaureate level must also be enrolled in the SPED M.S. program)
