Financial Aid Announcements

Deadline for Fall Only Loans

If you are applying for a fall only loan, Friday, December 21, 2012 is the last day that the Financial Aid Office can certify a fall only loan.  This includes federal Direct, Minnesota SELF, and federal Direct PLUS loans. 

Direct Loan:

  • You may apply for a fall only loan through your e-Services up until midnight Thursday, December 20th.  On Friday, December 21st, students still needing to apply for fall only federal Direct loans must complete a paper loan request form available in the Financial Aid Office. 
  • REMEMBER: Direct loans require that you (the student) have completed both your entrance loan counseling and your Master Promissory note at www.studentloans.gov

Minnesota SELF Loan:

  • To apply electronically, you must do so before 4:00PM on Tuesday, December 11th at www.selfloan.org
  • After 4PM on Tuesday, December 11th you must complete a paper Minnesota SELF loan application form for a fall only loan; the paper SELF forms are available in the Financial Aid Office, AS Building Room 106.

PLUS Loan:

  • The parent must have passed the credit check and have completed the Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov
