Welcome to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Our office is here to help you with the financial aid process so you can fund your education at SCSU.

We understand that financial aid can be complex and sometimes confusing. We hope that the information on our homepage will assist you in the process. If you have concerns or questions as you proceed with the application process, we are here to assist you.

To apply for financial aid:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)* at www.fafsa.ed.gov, and
  2. Complete the on-line SCSU Application for Financial Aid. Student and parent (dependent students) federal income tax returns and W2 wage statements are required with the SCSU application.

REMEMBER: The first word in FAFSA is FREE.  Be sure to always use the federal web site at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Do not use any website that ends in anything other than the Department of Education domain of .gov as you will be charged to complete the FAFSA and the processing time will be delayed.

If you will be attending summer session, a separate SCSU Summer Application for Financial Aid must be completed.

* The FAFSA is also available in Spanish at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/es_ES/index.htm

Effective July 1st Federal Stafford Loan limits increased and the interest rate on subsidized Stafford loans for undergraduate students decreased. Visit our website or read the 2008-2009 Award Information Booklet for more information on these changes.
