Opening Ceremony, Why Treaties Matter: Self-Government in the Dakota and Ojibwe Nations

Description: Cultural. Opening ceremony will feature Young Eagles Drum Group from Leech Lake and faculty/staff speakers. Hosted by President Potter. "Why Treaties Matter" Exhibit is a touring Exhibit exploring the continuing importance of treaty agreements between Dakota and Ojibwe nations and the US government through an engaging series of photos, maps and video. On display in the Cascade Room Lounge from August 25-Sept 12.
