||Fine Arts. A collaboration of faculty in the SCSU Department of Music created and continues to nurture a unique annual program that engages SCSU faculty, female students and a new community partner each year in a process of discovery, reflection, community service, and song. The 12 year old program, Her Story, Her Song, has woven a rich and meaningful network of community partnerships with female faculty in the Department of Music, the SCSU Women's Choir and Cantabile Girls' Choir.
The community organization partners serve as a catalyst for profound learning, role modeling, and experience with diversity and social justice. This year's community partner organization is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota, an agency whose mission is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The associated service project culminates in this concert that honors the female experience in song, words and action. Women led, women and girl powered, community good for all.
Please join us at Bethlehem Lutheran Church for this year's concert on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:30pm.
