"A Shot of Reality" educates students about encountering alcohol in a college environment. Two performers present the show in the form of a birthday party for the student audience. Alternating between hilarious improvisations, in which the audience participates, and educational sketches which drive home facts and statistics, A Shot of Reality will make audiences laugh, think, and inform their behavior toward alcohol. This show tackles the topics of Alcoholism, Binge Drinking, Social Mistakes, Assault, Heath Risks, Drunk Driving and more. This has been a highly effective program. The goal of A Shot of Reality is to talk to students as their friends instead of preaching at them as their parents. We realize certain students will choose to drink, we want them to be educated. We want them taking care of each other and themselves.
