A meditation session will follow the lecture. Presenter: Venerable Talgaswewe Seelananda was born and bred in Sri Lanka as a Theravada monk. Having received the invitation extended from American Sri Lankan Buddhist Association of New York, he came to USA for the dissemination of the Dhamma in 2002. He established a meditation Center named “Samatha Vipassana Meditation Centre” in Edmonton Canada. Presently, Venerable Seelananda is the Vice president and Vice Abbot of "Bhavana Society" in West Virginia, USA. He holds a B.A. in Buddhist Philosophy, and M.A. and M. Phil in Buddhist Studies. He is trained in Mass Communication, Conflict Resolution, and Human Development and is fluent in English, Pali, and Sanskrit. |
