Spring Forest Qigong is a form of meditation that helps people increase self-awareness and internal energy. Beginning exercises involve slow gentle movements that help one heal physically, mentally and spiritually. The method was developed by Chunyi Lin who has a healing center in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In this session Jerry will lead participants through a series of exercises designed to help clear blockages in the body that are the root of imbalances and illness. He will demonstrate ways to help heal ourselves and others that are simple and that anyone can do.
Jerry Wellik, faculty member in the Special Education Department, has studied with Master Lin for the past eleven years. He teaches and practices qigong and has a practice group that meets twice a week at SCSU.
This event is free and open to the public. Free parking in "Lot N" starting at 5:45 p.m.
