This session will be an experiential session in which participants will engage in a variety of mindfulness-based stress management activities they may use in their lives to help them become more present and to alleviate stressors. The activities are based on strategies utilized in the widely-used Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. The activities involve mindful breath awareness, meditation, and gentle movement designed to bring attention to our lives in the present moment.
Steve Hoover leads MBSR programs for faculty and staff at SCSU as well as a Mindful Stress Management Program for graduate students.
This event is free and open to the public. Free parking in "Lot N" starting at 5:45 p.m.
