The Loehrke-Bochonko duo will be presenting a concert of viola and piano music on Saturday, September 29th at 7:30 p.m. at the Ruth Gant Recital Hall in the Performing Arts Center on campus at St. Cloud State University. The program will feature works by Hindemith, Schumann and Rebecca Clarke.

Coca Bochonko, viola, and Shannon Loehrke, piano, became fast friends and performing partners just over a decade ago. Enthusiastic proponents of chamber music and each other’s musicianship, they officially became a duo in 2010---with the incredibly creative moniker “the Loehrke-Bochonko duo”. Shannon and Coca each have their own busy professional and personal lives, but enjoy performing together so much that they find time every other year to present some of their favorites of the viola and piano literature. They like taking their recitals on the road in an attempt to familiarize as many people as possible with this lesser known repertoire. The Loehrke-Bochonko duo’s adventures have taken them around Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas and Manitoba.
