Research Track
The overall goals and objectives of this track are to provide students with a sound philosophy of the integrative nature of technology on the environment, society, and culture. Additionally, the track is designed to allow students to obtain the necessary skills to conduct both basic and applied research related to meeting basic human needs and wants. This track allows students to become involved in the development of new products, goods, and services through invention, innovation, and development of technology.
The Research Track for the Master of Science degree in Environmental and Technological Studies may be completed using either Plan A (thesis – 30 credits) or Plan C (portfolio – 36 credits) and may include an emphasis in environmental or technological studies.
Thesis Option (Plan A)

- The portfolio option has an application emphasis and is an appropriate option for students who are not intending to pursue a doctoral degree.
