Husky Make It Space and ETS Facilities

The SCSU Husky Make-It-Space is located in Headley Hall,  Room 116.  Hours for Fall Semester 2022 are: 

    • Monday: 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

    • Tuesday: 8-9:15 a.m.  &  11 a.m.-5 p.m.

    • Wednesday: 10 a.m.-1:45 p.m.

    • Thursday: 8-9:15 a.m.  &  11 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Friday: 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m.  &  3-5 p.m.

SERVICES 

  • 3D printing in ABS Plastic ( Bring your STL files)  
  • LASER engraving and LASER cut 3D Models from STL files
  • Sticker printing
  • Large poster printing
  • Access to CNC Plasma Cutters
  • Access to a CNC 3 Axis Routers

MISSION STATEMENT

     The mission of the SCSU Husky Make-It-Space is to provide access to and assistance with a wide variety of fabrication tools and equipment for the purpose of helping students, staff and community partners to produce prototypes and products as needed to support or enhance all education and outreach efforts of the university.

 

Our classrooms and laboratory facility are centrally located, in Headley Hall. They include:

  • Our CAD/CAM and Environmental Modeling Center incorporates workstations with the latest CAD, CAM, CIM and environmental modeling software.
  • The Construction Center provides practical and experimental approaches to residential and commercial construction and an introduction to advanced woodworking.
  • Our Environmental Instrumentation Center is designed primarily for environmental experimentation and analysis of air, water and soils.
  • The Environmental Soils Center can be used for research and instruction on topics related to soils and environmental quality.
  • The Manufacturing Center (machine and thermal technologies) incorporate the latest in manufacturing equipment and techniques. Included in this area are facilities for product design, casting, machining.
  • Our Transportation Center is designed primarily for experimentation and problem-solving in transportation.
