Summer ESL Camp - Weekend Activities
Weekend Adventure
On the weekends, the student will travel by coach bus for three special activitites:
1. Itasca State Park: Lake Itasca is the headwaters of the Mississippi River. The Park is the oldest and largest in Minnesota. This day trip will include a box lunch in the picnic area of the park, a walk across the Mississippi River at its Source, boating on the lake, biking on the trails in the Park, and swimming or relaxing on the beach.
2. Mall of America: This day trip to the biggest Mall in the USA provides a full day of shopping, attractions, entertainment, and dinning. The over 400 shops at the Mall of America provide the shopper with all that they might want to buy. Park at the Mall of America is the largest in door amusement park in the USA and provides 30 rides for the students to enjoy. The Mall also has regular and special events for teenagers.
3. Valleyfair: This amusement park provides over 50 rides from thrill seeking roller coasters to calmer activities.
For these weekend day trips, students will be expected to pay for one
or two meals on their own.
