BiographyDr Miller is in his third year as an Associate Professor in the Educational Administration Department. Dr Miller was an English teacher before becoming a principal in 1979. He was the Assistant Principal at Bemidji High School until 1984. He then moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota and completed his Educational Doctorate Degree at the University of North Dakota in the summer of 1985. For the twenty two years he served as the high school principal at Buffalo High School and retired from that position in 2007. Dr Miller was and has continued to be very active in the state’s leadership organizations. He presently serves on the MASSP-Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals. In 1996 he was honored as the Minnesota Principal of the Year. Previously he was named the Administrator of the Year by the Minnesota High School Press Association in 1990 and the Administrator of the Year by the Minnesota Student Council Association in 1993. Dr Miller has served as a consultant to many school districts in Minnesota. He has presented at local, state, and national conferences in the areas of literacy, communication and leadership. Dr Miller brings experience, dedication and enthusiasm to his students.
