Biography
A native of North Dakota, Roger served in Assistant and Associate Superintendent capacities in Fargo (ND) Public Schools (12,000 students), Kanawha County (Charleston, WV) Schools (54,000 students), and White Bear Lake (MN) Area Schools (9,000 students). Subsequently, he provided leadership as Executive Director of the multi-school district-owned Institute for Educational Research in Downers Grove, IL and as Superintendent of Mason City (IA) Schools (6,000 students), Roseville (MN) Area Schools (7,000 students), Glencoe-Silver Lake (MN) Schools (1,700 students), and Centennial School District in Lino Lakes, MN (7,000 students).
Over the course of the past twenty years, Drs. Roger and Kay Worner have conducted over 350 studies of school districts in ND, SD, MN, WI, IL, and IN, focusing on organizational restructuring, consolidation, strategic planning, facility planning and construction, bond and referenda planning, and personnel improvement issues. Roger was twice selected as Executive Educator magazine’s Top 100 School Administrators in North America. He is the author of two books on curriculum design.
