Biography

Mary has been teaching at SCSU since 2006 as an Adjunct Faculty member and as an Assistant Professor. She also is currently in private practice as an outpatient therapist serving individuals, couples and families. Mary has worked as an in-home family therapist, and has more than 12 years of experience working in the field of chemical dependency where she has worked with both adult and adolescent populations in inpatient and outpatients settings, and was actively involved in developing a dual diagnosis treatment program at one facility.  Mary has been the Membership Chair for the Minnesota Counseling Association, a branch of the American Counseling since 2008, and is currently serving as the Faculty Advisor for the CPSY Club. She is an active member of Minnesota Responds, and has been a volunteer with St. Cloud Hospital Hospice since 2005.
