Community Psychology

The Department of Counseling and Community Psychology offers Undergraduate and Graduate degrees for students interested in the application of psychological principles and procedures in individual, community, and agency/organizational settings. Students are provided with training in basic helping skills in counseling and behavior analysis.

Additionally, the program emphasizes the application of these principles in applied settings through course service learning, fieldwork, and internship experiences. The Community Psychology Program is one of the larger majors at St. Cloud State University.  Students majoring in Community Psychology will acquire the academic and professional background to pursue employment within the field and/or to apply to graduate programs.
